Dear Valued Guests,

We are very excited to be welcoming our guests back for the quality entertainment, delicious dining, exceptional accommodations, golf, and fun to which our guests have become accustomed. While doing so, the health and safety of our guests, team members, and all Tribal Members remain of the utmost importance.

To that end, during the temporary closure, and in following guidelines provided by the CDC, local, state, federal and tribal authorities, we have made a series of improvements and policy updates to help ensure the safety of all who come out to relax and enjoy themselves at Dakota Magic Casino Hotel.

Monday – Thursday: Open 8am – 2am

Weekend Hours:
Opens Fridays at 8am through Mondays at 2am.

Phil-em-up is now open!

Table games will operate as nonsmoking and masks must be worn by Players/Customers at all times while at the tables.

Health And Safety Guidelines

Please see below for the following Health and Safety Guidelines that must be observed when entering Dakota Magic Casino Hotel:


Guests’ & Team Members’ temperatures will be taken prior to entry. Anyone with a temperature exceeding 100℉ will not be permitted to enter the property.


Slot machines will be wiped down throughout the day. Additional Hand Sanitizer stations are being provided throughout the property.



Twin Buffalo Grill, Dakota Winds Tavern and Exit 1 Deli are open. Seven Fires Buffet will remain closed and will serve as an overflow area for Twin Buffalo Grill.


Team Members are required to wear Face Masks while on property. For our guests, masks are highly recommended.



Smoking will be allowed.



At the time of reopening, bands will not be playing. In the meantime, we are working on entertainment for the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I required to have my temperature taken prior to entering Dakota Magic Casino Hotel?
Yes, and everyone will need to come in through the main entrance.

Am I required to wear a mask?
Face Masks are highly recommended for our guests. Please note, Face Masks are required to be worn by all Team Members.

Will you be limiting capacity?
Yes, the occupancy will be limited in order to enable our guests to maintain proper social distancing.

How frequently will machines be cleaned and sanitized?
As soon as we have seen machines being used we will be wiping them down throughout the day.

Can I still smoke inside the Casino?
Yes, smoking is still permitted.

Will the Smoke Shop be open?
Yes, the Smoke Shop will be open Wednesday – Sunday 10am to 8pm.

Are any of your restaurants open?
Yes, we look forward to serving you at Twin Buffalo Grill , Dakota Winds Tavern and Exit 1 Deli.

Will the Seven Fires Buffet be open?
Seven Fires Buffet will remain closed and serve as an overflow area for Twin Buffalo Grill.

Is the Painted Horse Gift Shop Open?
Yes, the Painted Horse Gift Shop is open 7 Days a Week from 10am to 8pm.

Will the EXIT 1 Lounge & Convention Center have live entertainment/concerts?
At the time of reopening, bands will not be playing. As a part of our phased reopening plan, we are working on some exciting Lounge entertainment and concerts for the future. Thank you.

What if I have a betting ticket that I wasn’t able to cash, prior to the temporary closure?
We will be allowing all tickets to be cashed in.

What happens to my tier level as a player?
We are maintaining your Magic Rewards tier level which you had prior to our temporary closure. However, if it appears to you that your tier level expired during our closure, please visit our Rewards Club and one of our Team Members will be happy to help you.

What happened to my unused Free Play from March and April?
Free Play for March and April (as with all Free Play) is time-stamped in our system and is therefore expired. The next round of Free Play will start on July 1, 2020. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you out for some fun!

What if my Birthday occurred during the closure?
Yes, of course and we would love to celebrate with you and yours. During your birthday month you will receive $10 Free Play. During your anniversary month, both you and your spouse will receive $10 Free Play. For both benefits, please provide proof of your birthday and/or anniversary date. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you soon for some fun!

What if my Wedding Anniversary occurs during your closure?
Wedding Anniversary promotions are currently paused and will be coming back during a future time.

What about the giveaways and promotions?
All previous promotions and giveaways were canceled when we suspended operations. Any entries earned in March will be transferred to new promotions when we reopen. No entries will be lost. Please visit a kiosk or our Rewards Club to obtain your entries balance.

Is the gas station still open?
Yes, for your convenience our gas station remains open 24 x 7, with a credit card.

Is the C-Store carrying tobacco?
Tobacco will be relocated back to the Smoke Shop.

Is the RV Park open?
Unfortunately, the RV Park will remain closed for 2020.

I had a Hotel reservation for dates when you were closed.
Reservations for stays during our closure were automatically canceled and fully refunded. We will work closely with you to reschedule your hotel stay once we reopen on a month to month basis.

What about future hotel reservations?
We will happily work closely with you to reschedule your hotel stay once we reopen on a month to month basis. Or, if you prefer, we will gladly provide a full refund.

How do I get a copy of my WIN/LOSS statement for my Taxes?
Thank you for playing at Dakota Magic Casino & Hotel! There are two ways to request your Win/Loss Statement from Dakota Magic Casino:

  • To obtain a WIN/LOSS statement in person, please visit the Rewards Club and one of our Team Members will be happy to help you. When doing so, please provide your Player’s Card and photo identification.
