Welcome to the Dakota Winds Golf Course at Dakota Magic Casino & Hotel. Dakota Winds is in its 5th season at Dakota Magic Casino and is expected to be one of Dakota's best courses. This 27-hole course will surely test your golf game.

Dakota Winds is a versatile course for all levels. It covers 165 acres, covering over 6950 yards from the back tees and 5200 yards for the front tees. Dakota Winds was designed and constructed by Joel Goldstrand, a skilled and recognized golf course architect who has designed numerous courses in the states of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Joel Goldstrand prides himself on the variety and individuality of each and every one of his courses' designs.

The course also has four different grasses throughout the entire course - it offers long prairie grass wild flowers, fescue rough, blue-grass fairway tees, and bent grass greens. The terrain can be described as gently rolling prairie links with a number of ponds and creeks to make the course a beautiful landscape overall.

Dakota Winds has been open since May 31, 2004. The course is located adjacent to Dakota Magic Casino on the North and South Dakota border. It's a safe and easy drive on I-29, Exit One. Come enjoy a round with your own foursome or let the Dakota Magic staff customize a company event specifically for you.

Group Rates

What makes Dakota Winds a unique and interesting course is that it is a reversible course. This means that golfers can play 18 holes on one day and the next day play a different layout on the reversible back nine, setting the course with a total of 27 holes. The reversible fairways are wider and strategically placed to ensure more variety for the ultimate golfing experience.
